The New Generation of MAN TipMatic 14 Gearboxes
As a key component of the D30 PowerLion 2 drivetrain, the MAN TipMatic 14 transmission, in combination with the D30 engine, delivers more power than ever before while improving fuel efficiency. It has been completely redesigned to be 60 kg lighter than its predecessor and features 14 forward gears and 2 reverse gears—with the option to unlock 6 additional gears using MAN Now.
The transmission system uses software to determine the optimal strategy for starting and automatically shifting gears. Thanks to the intelligent shifting feature, gears can be shifted extremely quickly, making the driver's job easier and increasing efficiency.
